PC Richards - Late delivery

Hello.

I would like to complain about the quality of service that I have received during me resent purchase at the PC Richard store at Union Square.

I purchased a TV on September the 1st. The delivery date was set to Friday, September the 5th by the salesperson.

On Friday the 5th I tried several times to get a delivery time from the automatic call system (and I was home all day waiting for the delivery), but my delivery tracking number wasn’t in the system. I called the store and after a long wait (55 minutes!) the answer that I was given is that the salesperson has made a mistake and my delivery would be only on Saturday, the 6th. I tried to explain to the person in charge that was speaking to me that this delay is a huge problem for me for several reasons – first of all, I am not available on Saturday (I am Jewish and Saturday is a holly day for us and we are not allowed to do any work), second, the cable installation was earlier on Friday evening, and without a TV there is going a problem with the installation. The person who spoke to me said that there is nothing that he can do, but he promise me that the delivery personal will take care of the installation and connection of the TV to the cable box, and he is willing to compensate me for the inconvenience on amount of 40$.

I asked to speak with the manager and he promise to me that a manager will call me during the day or at Saturday morning.

On Saturday morning, after delivery persons have delivered the TV, during the installation, another problem was discovered – there is no HDMI cable to connect the TV to the TV cable box. I tried to explain to the delivery personal that I was promised that all installation issues will be taken care of, but in vain. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager and tried to explain the situation to him. He was very rude, didn’t even tried to listen or take a responsibility for the mistake that was made by the salesperson and his only solution was to suggest to cancel the purchase.

I once again tried to ask to speak with someone in charge, which is willing to take a responsibility for the enormous inconvenience that was caused to me. Once again, I was promised that he will call me…I am still waiting.

In conclusion: the TV was set up using my HDMI cable (50$ value). I spoke to the cable company and they told me that due the lacking of TV during the installation they couldn’t do anything on the subject. No manager ever called me back and tried to deal with the situation. No compensation was received on my account.

I would like to point out that I am a returning customer, just last mount I bought a refrigerator in the same store.

I am strongly suggest that this matter will be taken seriously by the store management. I personally never again will buy anything from your store, and I will recommend all my friends, family work colleges and my other acquaintances never buy anything from PC Richard. As well, I will appeal to Jewish community and press in NY area to warn them of the poor quality of service and inconsideration in religious filings of the buyers by the store management.
